The last weekend in February, HCI Ministries will proudly host Indianapolis author and native Francine Yates.
Mrs. Yates, is the author of Carrie O and Me, and Faith Holds the Key. She started writing Carrie O and Me in 1994. It wasn t until 1997, when she won 1st place in an essay contest that she was inspired her to finish her writing. Six years later, she founded her own publishing company, Yates Publishing, LLC, and produced the sequel to Carrie O and Me, calling it Faith Holds the Key.
In 2005, she was awarded the Distinguished Achievement Award honoring excellence in a life s work, and service to the community. In that same year, she was awarded Dedicated Service and Contributions to the community.
She is married to Benjamin Yates, and the mother of Donald and Patrice. She currently works as an Accounting Analyst for one of Indianapolis prestigious law firms. Her hobbies include gospel plays, gospel concerts and traveling.
